Whenever I get my car up to speed around 90-100 km/h, I get a really bad vibration back through the steering column and my steering wheel shakes like mad. I only started noticing this after I got my new rims and tires, so I assume it's related. Could I be in need of a wheel alignment? Wheel bearing? MY wheels were bigger than stock, can that have anything to do with it? It's rather annoying I must say. Help!

I took my car in yesterday and had all four wheels re-balanced for no charge. Apparently, the shop's computer was "out" for a while and they had it re-calibrated two weeks ago (pretty well 2 weeks after I bought my tires ). Turns out all of the wheels were balanced incorrectly with the driver side rear being the worst at 1.5 oz off.
I didn't have much distance between the shop and my place, but I found some road, gunned it up to 120 and didn't have any problems except for the usual lumps and bumps in the road. -------------------- |

Thank goodness you haven't made your tire all bumpy yet -------------------- |
