I am kinda new to this kind of thing so bear with me if I make a mistake in protocol.
I have a '92 Camry that came with a 3vz-fe motor. The car was bought used from a "dealer" with less than 133,000 2 yrs ago. 19.6 miles after leaving the lot the motor blew a rod. This was due to the sludge build-up problem I have read this engine has. Anyway, we have since replaced the engine with a used one from overseas with 44,000 miles on it. Now the problem I am having is that I cannot get the engine to fire!!!!! I have tried replacing the igniter and coil as well as having an all new distributor, rotor, Plugs, etc. Still the best I can get is only 12v to the plugs. Can anyone please point me in the right direction of how to proceed with troubleshooting this since I cant even get it to start? I have over $6000.00 USD into this car and would love to drive it more than the 19.6 miles I got off the lot. Either new post's or PM's to the below e-mail would be greatly appreciated. jpalko1102@yahoo.com |

Did the main sensor ground get regrounded after the motor swap? If this ground is not grounded, the motor will turn and have power, but won't fire.
