Hello fellow celica owners and/or toyota enthusiats
I've been reading pretty much most of the sticky and interesting posts on this forum and i like to stay the information here is awesome makes me really appreciate my celica more and more. My 1st question/post is it possible to put an (97-02) jdm camry 5sfe engine into 95 celica GT (stock)? all i do know is that you have to do some drilling in the mounting plate for it to fit. but im not 100% sure. So if anyone has any insights on this, thanx alot. -------------------- |

Is the only difference between a JDM and USDM motor the EGR? so, if I wanted a newer replacement engine just cause mine's getting old, if I just re-use my current intake manifold so I can use the EGR, is everything else the same? would it be street legal then?

Yes. It's still the same basic motor... unless they radically changed ports or something (which I don't think they did). The major difference between the 97-2002 motors is DLI... but the physical engine has not changed very much. -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"
