Well... i'll be looking for a new laptop for college, i dont want to spent over $1k on it. i dont know much about computers, and i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction of whats the best bang for the buck. i want something reliable, and that will last awhile and i'll be happy with lol. i dont really play video games, but i do want something that can handle the multimedia/internet, but something i can also use for school. if this doesnt make sense lmk, im kinda in a rush atm

If you aren't picky, and the budget is tight, just get a Dell and a warranty. I myself would never buy one, but I also would spend more to get what I really want. Since I left school though, my laptop just sits there because my desktop is a hell of a lot nicer.

Never buy a Dell. Bigggest POS ever. I have a Dell PC, Dell Laptop and a 17" Mac Powerbook and the Dells give me the biggest problems.
