Well... i'll be looking for a new laptop for college, i dont want to spent over $1k on it. i dont know much about computers, and i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction of whats the best bang for the buck. i want something reliable, and that will last awhile and i'll be happy with lol. i dont really play video games, but i do want something that can handle the multimedia/internet, but something i can also use for school. if this doesnt make sense lmk, im kinda in a rush atm

sonys are nice but really pricey. i have an HP and i love it. personally i don't like vista though. if they have one with xp that is the route that i would go it would probably be cheaper as well. i tried to put vista on my laptop and everything just ran slower.
if you are using it for media, you will want one with a good size hard drive and at least 512mb ram. preferably 1gb. mine was on sale for 750 (800 after tax) at best buy and i love it. -------------------- |
