So I have the celi at the exhaust shop right now having my header-back exhaust line done, and the mechanic just called me saying that the headers dont go down far enough to clear the oil pan. I had an idea of having him cut the pipes coming from the engine and adding ceramic coated extensions to try to lower it a bit, but I was wondering if anybody else had this problem and how they resolved it.

dammit.

On top of that, somebody broke into my car last night and stole two packs of cigarettes and a bottle of cologne, and left me an unopened can of pepsi.

wtf is happening today?!?!

Oh yeah. At first I wasnt expecting much, and in terms of real power.... it's an ST... ya know? But I can DEFINATELY tell a difference with the combination of the headers, the cat and the piping. I can see what supersprynt was talking about when I first joined about losing a lot of low end torque, but once she hits around 2500 or 3000 she gets zippier than a tweeker getting a fix. For a total of $550 (all parts and labor), I'm really happy with the outcome. Ebay headers = good buy. Now we'll see how long they last... The mechanic said the welds all looked really good for being as inexpensive as they were. He said they actually were a better product than a lot of the sets he's installed.

+1 recommendation

Now I gotta figure out what to do next. I'm pushing whatever swap or forced induction mods back till next year to do more research and make the best decision for me, but I'm not satisfied completely yet with the 7afe. I want something more. I'm looking into more suspension for now, but if anybody has some sugestions for the next stage on the motor, please let me know!

oh, and thanks for all the help earlier guys! tongue.gif I'll make sure I buy different cologne sometime this week.
