im wondering how to manually open/close the top. is there something you need to disconnect/release before you can do this, or do you just overpower the motors?
my motors are working fine, but i think i have a loose wire, as the top will open then stop (sometimes halfway...). I dont think its the motors because when the top wont work, the motors aren't making any sounds (like they are on) and it happens very randomly. When the roof is closed, and i push the "close" button sometimes I can hear them working and others no noise, so I will try and check for a loose wire, but until then how do i do it manually? |

QUOTE(topshed @ Jun 22, 2007 - 3:20 PM) check the manual overide switch behind the boot panel. where is the boot panel? in the trunk? Is doing things manually hard on the motors? I would imagine that the manual override would be if the motors malfunctioned (broke) but my motors are still working in good cond and I do not want to damage them by manually closing the roof.
