I have a 94 Celica GT. It started up fine and I drove for about 5 minutes. I stopped at a light and then when I hit the gas it moved forward a little bit and then the car stalled. I am not able to restart the car.
I am not a car expert, but the engine seems to be trying to start but does not ever seem to actually start. Any ideas? This post has been edited by flemb: Jun 26, 2007 - 2:07 PM |

QUOTE(flemb @ Jun 26, 2007 - 12:41 PM) I have a 94 Celica GT. It started up fine and I drove for about 5 minutes. I am not a car expert, but the engine seems to be trying to start but does not ever seem to actually start. Any ideas? Have someone kneel next to your driver rear wheel and turn the key on. They should hear the fuel pump kick on. If there's no hum when you do that, your fuel pump has died. This doesn't really sound like a pump problem though. If the pump is good, go with Remy's suggestion on the fuel filter. |
