Just read this local newstory
LYNNWOOD, Wash. - Two drivers were arrested early Tuesday morning after they allegedly sped by a state trooper at 141 miles per hour. State patrol spokesman Kirk Rudeen said a trooper was on Interstate 5 when a BMW 330i and a Honda Accord sped by him in the northbound lanes near the 44th Street exit. The trooper clocked the BMW at 141 mph, Rudeen said. The Honda was behind the BMW and was keeping pace. The trooper spotted both cars pulled over near the I-5 interchange with I-405. Rudeen said the cars stopped to let one of the BMW passengers ride in the Honda. Both drivers, a 22-year-old man and an 18-year-old man, were arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of reckless driving and reckless endangerment. so I know theres governers(sp?) on cars but even if we take ours off were not going to be able to go that fast are we? I wouldnt think an accord would be capable of 141 - if you ask me that is just way to fast for a car. Theres no need for a car to go over 100 mph on public roads EVER. theres no need for it to even go above about 85 but i think they should govern cars at 100mph -------------------- Cruisin down the street in my Infiniti...always lookin for my next trip to Sin City
