Hi,
I just got ATSracing's 2.5" metal throttle intake piece to replace the rubber type that came with the celica 3sgte. It did not come with a gasket or seal to go btn it and the throttle body. I know the OEM rubber one didn't either but the fact that this new one is metal makes me wonder if it would make me leak under boost if I just bolt it on without any type of gasket/seal. I know some of you have the MR2 metal one and I want to know how you guys have it bolted on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. **Edit***: Never mind, I got the answer to this question already. there is a thin gasket from toyota for it. Thanks This post has been edited by malecrod: Jul 1, 2007 - 5:15 PM -------------------- 3sgteing.

Wouldn't you be concerned about a potential vac leak? If Toyota went to the trouble of making the gasket oem, I trust there's a reason for it. he meant wouldnt bother making your own, just go oem. |
