as far as valvoline goes i have always used it since i owned the car (2001) i have tried differant brands in my other cars and i could tell a defferance. i use the high mileage brand of valvoline even in the motor & power steering....... now as far as boost goes i run 10psi daily no problems. at very first i had some issues but everyone does when they try to cut corners, i learned that the hard way. when building a turbo kit you get what up pay for, and at first i tried to build it as cheap as possiable , used turbo, a log mani that had a lot of clearance issues, ebay couplers, junk yard intercooler, and harware oil lines, had problems with them all every week ,and in the end replaced them with the good ones . so if i would of done that in the first place i would of not spent so much...HA!!HAA!!!.... now with my t3-t4 i boost real good i hit boost at 2700rpm and full boost at 3600rpm , and what is nice about the auto is every shift under boost i get 1-2 psi more rather then losing boost like the manuals. now on track days i have pushed my setup to 17psi ,but i dont recomend any one to do this on a stock 7a ,12 psi is as far as i would go on a dd car . if you want more then swap or build up the 7a . i am working on a 20v 7agte right now and hopefully i will have it done by next summer . looking for 250-300hp daily.
