Yes, it is a touch screen.
It is only illegal to view movies and GPS maps while the car is on motion. Most dvd/navigation systems aren't able to allow the user to view these options when this happens, the system simply shuts off. I however, rewired mine so i can view mine while the car is in motion. For those of you which have an AVID-D3, i can tell u how. Or i may post a How-to later. I used to like the idea of a car computer, but i changed my mind on it. This is my thoughts on that idea. IT would be nice to view many of the features that it offers, however many of those are also offered through these multimedia players as well. Another thing is. You can't have internet all the time when your on the road (like u said, u'll have to post up near a cafe or what not and park ur car there). One of the main reasons why i chose not to car computer, is because the screen would be to small to do anything spectacular with. Font would be small. The screen would only be 7" max, without any modifications. If i was gonna have a car computer, i would just go ahead and get myself a laptop w/ a bolt-on stand. Btw, i think its pretty cool that the AVIC-D3 has options to monitor car dynamics anyway ! -------------------- You say you don't understand how we go dumb, but have you ever been where i'm from?
