What rpm does your CT26 hit full boost? My boost gauge reads 11 psi at full boost but I don't hit full boost till 3000 rpm. Is it just me or is my CT26 not spooling up quick enough?
EDIT: Well, sounds like all is normal with the turbo. Thanks for the input guys. This post has been edited by pokemeintheeye: Jul 7, 2007 - 3:30 PM |

Really? Is that normal? I've read in some other forums and they were talking about their turbo hitting full boost at around 2500 rpm and lower. I guess 3000 rpm isn't so bad. But my cousin test drove a swap a few months back and he also says that one hit full boost a lot earlier than mine.
The engine is pretty much all stock. Stock top mount intercooler. Looks to be a jdm 2nd gen and I was told it was from an MR2. To me, my car seems kind of slow. Not quite as fast as what I thought a swap would feel like. Its quick, but I wouldn't say fast. Don't really have much complaints. I just thought the turbo has a little too much lag. Sounds normal to some of you guys though huh? |

It looks like they modified the intercooler to fit (not that there would be much to modify). The rubber piece from the throttle body looks like a ghetto fit. Same with the rubber fitting from the turbo to the intercooler. Plus, not all the tmic pieces are there. The engine could've been an mr2. Either or, its still a 3sgte. |
