Background: Ok guys here's the deal. We have found a company to make us cleared plastic lenses for the celica. As of right now the regular pricing on these would be $110 for the lows or $105 for the highs. In a previously relayed e-mail from Lovo, the pricing was set at $100 but after further inspection of the lights and some long phone calls, the price went a bit higher. Shipping is also a standard $10 on all of his lenses.
News: Here's what I can tentatively offer right now. *All deals must also include appropriate paypal fees if paying by that* 1)Clear low beam lenses for $90 plus $8 shipping. 2)Clear high beam lenses for $85 plus $8 shipping. 3)All four lenses for $170 plus $10 shipping. That is a decently priced savings on an already good price in my opinion. Details: I am mailing out a set of lenses tomorrow so that he can make the mold. The bad part about this is that I will be losing ALL four lenses because of how he makes the lense. And honestly that REALLY sucks. (if someone would like to donate their old lenses to me upon receiving the new lenses it would be much appreciated) The turn around time is not set in stone either. Expect to wait around few weeks to a month before getting these. In order for us to obtain these prices I must get atleast 10 (TEN) customers for each set. PLEASE READ: Because the light output is unknown at this time, I will be taking before and after pictures to ensure you are as informed as possible about what you will be getting into. Generally speaking, the light outpout onto the road will not be as good. It most likely will be a lot more focused and not spread out on the road. This brings up the question of HIDs. I will most likely buy a HID set to test out the before and after on these also atleast for the low beams. With all that said, these lenses will NOT meet DOT certification and are technically for "offroad use only" I will not be liable to problems associated with the lenses at ALL. I will provide a how-to on how to properly install these. Other options: I will be pricing out how much it costs to chrome the inner front housing piece also. I plan to fiberglass and bondo the ridges to get a smooth appearance then test out the chroming option. I do not have a price for this yet. Please e-mail ME with all questions as though Josh will not likely answer emails due to his busy schedule. As of today, I'm at the head of this operation and in charge. This means to email me with all questions and I will compile a FAQ and relay the questions to Josh. Thanks With all of this said; let the list begin: Clear Lows: 1) dustin15brown 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 8) 9) 10) Clear Highs: 1) dustin15brown 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 8) 9) 10) This post has been edited by dustin15brown: Oct 7, 2007 - 4:22 PM -------------------- |

QUOTE(dustin15brown @ Jul 11, 2007 - 6:24 PM) QUOTE(K-ESD @ Jul 11, 2007 - 4:41 PM) I'm def. interested, however the biggest issue is not knowing the quality of the lens. I don't want something that will haze within a couple years, I have to know if these lens will withstand the harshness of winter and road crap blast. How thick will these lens be? What type of plastic will be used? Any protection coating and UV resistance? Will the lens be the exact shape of the old lens (on the outside)? Ok here's what I got you K-ESD: This is from an e-mail from Josh ".090 clear ext acrylic not as thick as stock due to no vacuum strong enough to pull the acrylic down.... yet. i have used the same lenses for over 3 years now on my car. 125,000 miles! not a thing wrong. but i dont live in the snow. but many of my customers live in canada and have had their projector lights for over 2 years in the snow. two customers sold their headlights (sold the cars) and still nothing wrong." if you have more questions, keep them coming I want everyone to be as informed as humanly possible on these. NEW NEWS: If you would like to ORDER projectors with your lenses and undertake retrofitting these in yourself, '06 infiniti FX35 D2S bi-xenon projectors are available for purchase also. The package deal would be 1) buy just one set of the lenses and the projectors at $195 + $13 shipping 2) buy both sets of lenses and then the projectors at a total of $275 + $13 shipping *These prices are tentative prices and are not set in stone as of yet. Edit: Also, those wishing to not messing with breaking their lenses or headlights, I will be offering a service for you to ship me your headlights and I will replace the lenses for you then ship them back to you. PM me for pricing and timetables clear this up for me dustin.....so for 275...we get both clear lenses....aaaand projectors for both high and low beam?? or is this just projectors for low beam? |
