Hello, I was just wondering about a sound coming from a BRAND NEWLY INSTALLED BY A TOYOTA TECH. timing belt on my 94 gt 5s-fe engine. I just had it replaced and it makes a whining sound when revved. Sounds a little like a whislte/whine like a supercharger would make. I asked the tech and he said it was normal since it was new. I was just wondering if maybe the belt was rubbing on timing cover, or if maybe is normal, when revved to about 3k plus, its VERY noticable. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks

WOW! i cant believe it im not the only electric motor sounding celica anymore, mine has doen the same since i got mine replaced LAST SUMMER!!!! it still does it my guy cant figure it out it pisses me off sometimes. Ohter times it sounds kinda cool. but no supposedly there is nothign wrong its just the tensioner is supposedly not used to the new tight belt and over time it will move into proper position and stop sounding.
