Hi team,
I've noticed lately that my steering is making a funny noise when I pull into my driveway. It happens when the wheel is at full lock. My drivers side CV joint makes the usual worn knocking noise when I go around corners and this noise in the steering is on the same side. The noise when I'm pulling into the driveway is like a couple of clunks as the wheels turn. It also only seems to happen under load (i.e. if I just turn the wheels without moving it doesn't happen)... Do you guys think it could be the CV or something more sinister? Anything I should check out? Power steering fluid is at the right level. ![]() Zac |

it could be axel or it could also be strut bearing. I have a bad strut mount/bearing on my passanger side and when ever i turn my wheel hard left or right just b4 full lock, i hear a bad clunking sound. My first strut bearing went bad and was fully seazed and then started cutting into the mount its self.
