Getting rid of my Swapped 94 ST.
Engine runs very strong. The problem is mainly while accelerating, the motor shakes pretty bad. Im pretty sure all it needs is a new motor mount on the passenger side. This started after I got the short axel problem fixed by adding another spacer. The clutch is brand new since the swap. Also, it is sometimes difficult to shift while the engine is cold. I have tried bleeding the clutch and that helps for a while, but then it goes back to the way it was. I probably only put about 20k miles on it. The odometer says 128k, but the speedometer doesnt work so the mileage isnt going up. It needs a little work all around, but the hard part is done. Copied from my old ebay auction cuz im too lazy to type it all out again: General Car Info Like the title says, its a Red 5spd 94' ST Hatchback with a 92' JDM MR2 3SGTE engine. The body has probably close to 150K miles. I painted the interior trim panels white. The seats have probably less wear than you would expect from a 12yr old car. Same with the carpet. I have always had the factory floor mats in the car. I am a NON smoker and so was my car. The clip was from Ricky's Auto in FL.(see his eBay auctions if you want) I was told it had ~30-40k miles. The swap was done partially by a local auto shop, and partially by a Tuner shop. The local shop decided they didn't have the skills to finish it, so to the more expensive tuner shop it went. Exterior I put a full invader body kit on it a long time ago and it has seen some wear and tear since then. The only real noticeable damage is on the bottom of the passenger side front bumper.(near the wheel well) And on the passenger side rear bumper there is a large crack. I still have the stock front and rear bumpers but I dont know if the front will still fit.(intercooler) It also has an invader spoiler. Again, I will be posting pictures of everything. I recently put a set of coilovers on but I still have the original springs and they will of course come with the car if you want them. The car rides fine, but you do feel bumps. The car also has a set of 17" Primax rims. They are one of the first visual mods Ive done to the car, so they have a lot of curb damage. (pics to come) And each wheel has a different brand tire due to flats and such... Engine Mods New (>1k miles) Ignition components (plugs, cap, wires, rotor) and I have a spair set of NGK bkr7e plugs. ATS Throttle body inlet MBC (Running 1.0Bar daily) Greddy FCD (included but not installed) Cat-back 3" exhaust with Ractive Muffler (sounds SOOOO nice) HKS SSQV 2.5" SS IC piping and a large IC (27w X 12h i think) eBay Shifter Bushings *****PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR***** No speedometer -I have the electronic speedo sensor, but its not plugged into the harness. You get used to it pretty quick. I dont even notice anymore. Power Steering -The PS squeals only while you're rolling very slow. Once you get moving its all good. No A/C Battery -The battery is in the trunk and for some strange reason it will drain itself if you leave it parked for too long. It is easy to unplug when you park it for the night but its fine if you're just running to the store or something. Rear Drum Brakes -Rear breaks lightly grinding while moving slowly and breaking Transmission Troubles -This needs some explaining. The engine and tranny run great. Recently, I've been having clutch problems. There is a small squeek/chatter coming from the clutch (throwout bearing?) Ive bled the clutch and that fixes it temporarily. I found that there is a small leak where the clutch line goes into the tranny at the front of the car. The car very recently came out of the shop to have a short axel problem fixed and now there is a very noticeable vibration and chatter that gets less noticeable when you're not on the gas. I believe it is the clutch finally going out. It was a brand new ACT clutch. Extras Like I said, I have the stock front and rear bumpers. Stock suspension springs (4) NKG BKR7E plugs 2 Gallons of 110 Octane CAM Racing Fuel. Car Jack, jumper cables, etc. A bunch of Mother's car washing stuff. (3 stage wax, soap, some new sponges, glass wipes, vinyl wipes...some other stuff) 94 Celica (for body) AND 93 Celica (for engine) Chiltons manuals. Also I have 2 12" Wolfenhag 1000W subs, each in their own ported bandpass box...i already sold the amp. Factory 10 Disc CD Changer and the Kenwood CD player that I replaced the factory cd player with. Email me @ gtfc115@gmail.com for more details or pics of anything if you are interested. Asking $4,500 (plus freight from 43537. the car shouldnt be driven very far) I'll let the pictures speak for themselves The only rust inside the doors This post has been edited by gtfc115: Jul 27, 2007 - 4:33 PM |
