there is really no point in trying to prove whether creationism or evolution theory are true and as such you have 2 groups of people... well technically you have 3. those who believe in gaia (nature/natural gods) those who believe in a god (be it jesus, vishnu, allah etc) and those who are atheists (hardcore and or those who dont care).
latter 2 can not be proven nor denied. and trying to explain one theory to those who represent a "side" of the argument is pointless. You were not born to be a monkey.. neither was your grandpa. Neither was your grand grand x26 grand pa. What evolution theory speculates is that over 2+ million years we evolved from being microbes into what we are today. What creationism describes is a period of time (usually no more than 2000 years ago) when humans were created. Also there is a theory called intelligent design whereby creationists try to explain why non believers are wrong by saying that science and evolution came to be becaise of god and that x day theory and yada yada are "figurative" rather than literal. Either way bringing up any theory often sparks right/wrong arguments. And often religious people get greatly offended by any argument because for them to hear that their religious idol (whoever it may be) is not real is against everything they believe in. -------------------- Captain Pessimist
