ok so that car is on 20s but it doesnt go anywhere, if he hits a bump hes screwed and he prolly cant turn for balls. The only way ive seen people fit 19s on a celica were when they cut the fenders, not to hard to do when your fitting in a body kit and painting the whole car like that guy did.

yeah i think he drives it mate.
he wouldn't be that bad off if he hit a bump, I used to have 215/35/18's on my gt and it wasn't that bad. now i've had to go upto 225/45/18s for the gt4 to keep the speedo somewhere near.

however if he's running 20's that are 35 wall, then his speedos gonna be stupidly wrong.
the 20's are 8.9% different to standard, so when he's actually doing 60 his speedos gonna be showing about 54.

Anyway phil, looking on http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp the best size to use that'll keep the speedo fairly standard is 215/30/19. not sure how easy they'll be to get hold of though.

actually I don't think you can get hold of them.

He does indeed drive it, over bumps as well - hundreds of miles sometimes to shows bumps and all.

It doesn't handle that well but then 17s/18s don't handle as well as 15s and most people fit them.

Looks like the standard body to me with minimal alteration apart from the bumpers, skirts and bonnet - I think he took the wheel arch liners out of the front though.

Oh and VISDEBOY - your right - his speedo is a mile out so he uses the GPS one on his satnav wink.gif
