I'm reconsidering installing a sub in my car but was wondering, where is the best place to run my power wire through the firewall? In my old car I had to drill a hole, but I had tons of room to do it. This car seems a lot more cramped for space and there aren't many grommets to use.

Where did you put your power wire through? (I'm running 4 ga. to the trunk)

I ran mine through the rubber piece on the passenger side where the harness goes through. Easy if you already have the fender off. Otherwise, there are easier places to run it. wink.gif

It's the black wire without loom in that picture.

My installation was almost the same as yours Coomer, except I did it on the driver side, used the lower of the two grommets and didn't remove my fender, just the tire well plastic.

Just a picture showing where it runs from through the fender. I used Zap Straps to tie the 4ga. wire along the black sheathed wires at the top on the inside of the fender.

Here I had the grommet popped out to see if the wire would feed through, and it did. The red dot just shows where I cut a hole in the grommet to feed the wire through.

And after the rewiring was complete. I added gold battery terminals, a 4ga. ground wire off the battery and I have the fuse block ready for the 150A fuse (Once I find it... tongue.gif )
