I took my subs out of my car today to remove my bumper and i figured i play some music while i was at it. I played about half a song in my car when i realized that having my subs out of the car and playing was not a very good idea. I quickly put them back in and now they dont hit at allll, they hit slightly so they arent blown but you can barely feel them, i messed with my HU and amp for like an hour and they still do not hit like they used to!
Has anyone had this happen? and now im in the market for 2 new 12" subs if anyone wants to help that would be great lol Thanks! *edit* they were working fine before i took them out of the car This post has been edited by Redline08: Aug 21, 2007 - 4:00 PM |

Hi! I am new here but i can help.
This happen for three reason: 1) You disconnect coil wire. (your amplifier "see" more resistance) 2) Your enclosure is wrong builded (less damping out of car, destroy your subwoofer spider) 3) You play low notes out of car (destroy your subwoofer spider) Check your amplifier "Gain" and your amplifier "crossover" Measure with a multimeter your Subwoofer resistance and your amplifier AC Voltage (sorry for my english) |
