Man, I went to maaco to get a quote on a paint job on a 4 piece body kit(not the whole car) and to remove a SLIGHT dent in my door he definatley quoted $1100!!! I luaghed and said thanks but no thanks. Id rather buy 30 cans of spray paint and a Ding King and call it a day.
 Just a heads up, they wanted blood.

I never said he did. I was merely pointing out that the "insane" price of $3k (which is a lot, to paint a $4-6k car for) doesn't hinder anybody's finances on a house. And if it does, they probably should be in an apt/townhouse. I think a better example of that, is someone who owns a BMW but rents....thats where its clearly a choice of where you want to spend your money. Didn't mean to rub off harsh, merely proving a point. And I never said HE works at McD's  It was a general "If you" meaning anyone.
