Man the road noise my celica is producing is finally getting to me. When Im in other peoples cars it is hard to deny that my celicas road noise is very real. I know that this has been a problem with the 6gc from the beginning. First: When I got my rims/tires the nosie increased DRAMATICALLY. Its been that way ever since. ok ok Im pretty sure I have ****ty tires. Not that they are in bad condition. If anything they have alot of tread left, which prb means they are hard rubber, which also explains why I feel like Im going to die when I drive in the rain. Q: ok do yall think that the wheels themselves are contributing to the noise? Assuming they are balanced Second: Thinking about replacing my bearings. I know the fronts can be done. What about the rears? Can the hubs be taken apart like that? -------------------- ![]() |

im in this process too, but nobody sells the rear so i dont know what to do about it:S
Back in the day, when i had my convertible, i found the rear bearing and i took it to a machine shop to get extracted/ pressed in, it was quite a job, but thats the way to do it, now i can find an aftermarket bearing. This post has been edited by 95celgt: Sep 6, 2007 - 11:02 AM |
