My engine still wont start so i tried the spark test with my plug wires, i stuck the screwdriver into it and laid it across a ground...no spark, so i goto autozone to get a new coil/distributor....BIG problem the "oem" distributer and the one on my car are COMPLETELY different....idk if the person before me did work on the engine or not but the only part that oreillys, autozone and advanced could find was a "california only" cap...idk wth that means nor what to do, they showed me the oem replacement parts for my 5s and it is completely different then what mine is...if anyone has and pictures of their oem distributer cap or coil then please post...if im just crazy...well keep that to yourself haha

wyotech6gc, and it he cant figure out why he doesnt have spark? ha! sorry but i thought wyotech was supposed to be an awesome school?
anyways, bust out your DVOM and check your dis harness, should be a couple wire for the cam sensor. if thats bad then no spark or fuel. if you have fuel but no spark then ohm out the high and low side of the coil and see if thats the problem there. the coils do sometimes go bad. no spark on all 4? double check your grounds as well. if the coil has a bad ground or theres a PCM ground issue then the coil may not be able to fire. -------------------- |
