Ok my buddy owns a 94 celica gt. He called me yesterday the car died out on him. It has about 150k mileages on it.

He was driving and the car just shut off. I went over to see if i can help but was unsuccessful. I turn the key and it cranks but does not start. I pulled one spark wire to see if it had spark wile I crank it and it did not have any spark.

now I think that it might be something with the ignition, igniter or the timing belt.

what can it be.

the car was running perfect before this.
thanks

I just came back from pulling my buddys car into the mechanic. The car is in Flushing. The mechanic is someone my friend knows that is why we took it there.

what was more upseting was that the mechanic asked
what are the miles?
what year?
umnnn maybe you should not spend the money to fix it. This is a big job.

Whatttttttt. Is he crazy. I thought to myself.
(if he only know how hard is to find a black on black hatch gt)
then i said of course it is worth it to fix it.

Well the car is now in the mechanic shop and he will let us know how much he will charge tomorrow. I told him to replace timing belt, belt tensioner, and water pump.

What do you think would be a fair price for that. Remember this is NYC
