man o man did i have a good day!!!!
i got the turbo in and solved the oil pressure problem. all i can say is WOW. at 50% throttle it is faster than the car was when NA at 100% throttle i had a ton of problems today. the piping kept blowing off at different places and then the gasket i made blew apart(used the wrong gasket material) but its all working now and im boosting at 6psi with no hesitation and a whole lot of noise. im running only a down pipe that i made myself until i can get one made on tuesday. so, yeah, after a year of parts gathering, hours of thought, and days and days of work, ITS DONE(well, the parts i can do that is) BTW, the best part was hearing the BOV, which is really really really loud. i could clearly hear it despite running open exhaust. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

At what RPM is ur turbo kicking in? The 3s kicks in real close to 3K but i prefer that cuz i dont want to be boosting when im driving slowly ya kno?
Also, PSI is pounds per square inch. PSI reading tells you how much air pressure the turbo is forcing into the throttle body. The more & the denser the air, the more/better burn you get. Lamens: The more PSI the more boost, the faster you go. 6PSI is pretty impressive for the 7afe, Congrats. With the BOV...did you put it towards the throttle body end, or the turbo? What kind of BOV? and do you have any backfiring issues with it? -------------------- |
