i say having a general idea of what u wanna do and doing it in stages is a good thing. I know when i first got my car i messed it up nicely with some hackjob wirings, ricing it out, etc. But once i got an idea of what i wanted to do, i made my self a list of things i want to do, when im gonna do them, and how im gonna do them. Some things came b4 others and didnt go the way i wanted them to go in the list, but its all eventually coming together. Like i first did my whole ricer phase when i first got the car cuz i thought it was cool back then. Then i tore all that crap out, did the engine/performance stuff *mainly cuz i blew my first motor*, then i built up the suspension and now i just did some exteiror styling, i did the audio, and now im gonna finish up the exterior styling over the winter, then in the spring or summer im gonna do the interior..
I think if your just gettin into modifiying your car..brake it down into stages so you know what your gonna focus on next. I wouldnt do things tooo specificly. Like you say u want this body kit setup, and you want this done to your engine..i say you should wait untill you get to that time, and figure things out, mainly because when i first got my car i wanted an invader front, boomer sides, and invader rear...now, i dont want any of that and i just want OEM styling. But definatly, get used to driving your car and do it legaly b4 you do any thing else. |
