Well.. i bought my celica two julys ago and pretty much ever since i bought it, things have been going wrong with it. Up to date now, I've spent about $3500 to keep my car alive and drivable. Wednesday night, i was driving home around 9 PM, my car started to bogg down and idled low and didn't have much acceleration at all. My check engine light also came on and was flashing. By then, i pulled over and called my dad. My car is in the shop now and I'm sorry to say that i will be getting rid of the car if repairs are more than $300. Ive spent too much money on this car to fix it up and it never treats me right. Don't get me wrong, i love the car but i just can't afford to be putting all of this money into it while going to college. I'm just hoping that repairs aren't too expensive this time and I'll consider keeping it. Thanks for letting me rant, This has been on my mind all week and i needed to come out.

Hmm lets see... New clutch, 2 new front wheel bearing, 2 sets of tires, alignment that tore up my tires, new muffler, cd player, air filter, new rotors, pads, brake drums, calipers, and e - brake cord, speakers .. i think there is more but i can't think of it right now... $900 for 4 brembo blanks, 2 sets of mintex pads (front and rear), new rear calipers, new brake drums and a new e-brake cord. I was shocked too but it didn't seem as bad when i broke it down. ahh, it's cause of the new calipers, you probably didn't need to replace them or the rear e-brake drums and cable unless they weren't working right. well the calipers seized up and the brake drums were completely gone and mt e-brake wouldn't even hold my car when i put it up.. im just hoping my front calipers don't seize up on me now -------------------- |

I feel this mechanic may be ripping you off, you might want to try taking it someplace else. -------------------- 94 GT - Sold -------- 69 Pontiac Lemans - Sold 88 Alltrac - Sold ---- 04 WRX - Sold 00 GT-S - Sold ------ 91 Miata - project/drift car 95 GT - Sold -------- 96 GT - New Daily Drive |
