my car is finally getting painted , so now it is time to plan for a new project !
-i want to drop the ride hight by about 1 inch .... what do i need to buy ?? as far as i understand , all i need is springs ... anything else ?? any body recommend anything else to be done while doing this , ex: sway bars? do i need to replace shocks ? coil covers ? - i am also thinking of getting cross drilled rotors , what is a good place to buy them from ?? .... i was also wondering how to undo the bolts on the rear brake caliper and the bracket it is mounted on ?? ( the reason i am asking is because i use a breaker bar to do the front and i have to turn the wheels in order to reach) - i want to bleed brakes while doing all this because i want to paint my calipers away from the car , how exactly do i do this ?? thanks everybody ! |

your asking a lot of diff questions.
to drop the car about an inch, I would get the tein S tech spings and since your doing it I would get new shock as well, but if you stock onces are in good shape they should do just fine, I have and would recomend kyb gr-2s there a good OEM replacement and I have mine with coilovers dropped about 3" and there great. as for cross drilled rotors try tirerack, or some other online pleaces but i'm not sure what companes make them from our cars, I have brimbo corss drilled, but there hard to find. just try diff angles and whatever breakerbars you got to get em loose, I dont remember what I did but dont think it was too hard. you'll have to do a little more then bleading your breaks if your taking the calipers compleatly off the car, you will have to refill, and then bleed them, not going to exsplane that whole process. best to have a pro do it as its very important. -------------------- ![]() |

QUOTE(creis @ Oct 10, 2007 - 6:13 AM) you'll have to do a little more then bleading your breaks if your taking the calipers compleatly off the car, you will have to refill, and then bleed them, not going to exsplane that whole process. best to have a pro do it as its very important. What i did, took the calipers out. to prevent from spilling the brake fluid. I put the bolt back in witha balloon. Like a seal. Not very pro, but worked for me. All i had to do is bled the brakes a little to get the air in the caliper...... ![]() if youre not sure how to do it, please dont do it, cause i hear bleeding the whole brakes system is a pain... -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years...
