So, after talkin it through with alot of my friends, parents, family, etc. I decided that Im gonna keep my celica. Im gonna still be taking it off the road for a few months. So i decided that while its off the road, and im working im gonna put some $ into the car to get it back up to par of where i want it. So i decided to do a list of things i need to get done with the car. My goal is to have it all done by august 1st. So...pretty much, i need to get all of this done in the next 5 months or so.
Tint windows, re-upholster/re-cover rear seats, So, the list starts tomorrow....first step stage 3 of my celica. wish me luck This post has been edited by Valo666: Nov 3, 2007 - 9:21 PM |

QUOTE(rayneezy23 @ Oct 17, 2007 - 3:03 PM) sorry to ask but what does a neo do? the neo is an air/fuel controller...im using it for some mild tuning on my 5s just to make it lean out a bit so i get a better power band. Yea, they are all the wires for my aftermarket sunroof and the plug for the switch. but since my sunroof doesnt work properly/leaks, im not gonna b using it forawhile. In the summer or spring im thinkin im gonna go out and pull up the RTV we sealed it with, make a new gasket for it and im gonna cut and weld in a drain tube so that if i do get alot of water in, it will drain out..like how an OEM sunroof works. aftermarket sunroof? how is if diff then oem? It was installed on a hardtop model. It has a seperate switch and it pops up and back instead of sliding inside the roof. Also its ALOT bigger than an OEM sunroof. QUOTE(GriffGirl @ Oct 17, 2007 - 4:04 PM) I had a Pathfinder once that had an after market sunroof that leaked like CRAZY in heavy rain, which is pretty frequent during the winter here in Oregon. Luckily the glass actually had the name of the manufacturer; after months of trying to find the leak holes and sealing them w/RTV & using towels on the front seats I finally tracked down the manufacturer in Ohio, ordered a new gasket for ten bucks and voila! Problem solved! It worked like a charm and was WELL worth the minimal effort it took to replace the gasket. Maybe you can do that too? Good luck though, I know it sucks! Tryed. I called about 15 different companies over the last 2 years trying to find a gasket, but heres the sh*tty part...the model i have was the biggest sunroof that ASC ever made and they discontinued it in 1996, and they dont have/make any more parts for it. So i have to essentialy make my own gasket/fix the one thats in there. It sucks cuz i called dealers all around north america, manufacturers of sunroofs all across north america and some in the UK even trying to find somethin that would fix it. Nothing. So when i go to fix it, im gonna talk to some of the companies around town here and see if i can get one of them to make me a few gaskets, since my town is a big automotive town. Hopefully i can get somethin to fix it. |
