Currently rebuilding my 5SFE and I am taking my block to the local machine shop. $30 per cylinder. Would there be any significant increase if I went .02 (.5mm) over? Also what else would I need besides new pistons and rings?

possible bore .02 over (not sure, need some more suggestions) new pistons, rings, bearings, seals (whole bottom end basically) reman head oil pump, water pump, timing belt, thermostat lighter flywheel and new clutch qeustion: if I want to boost the 5s in the future, how would the .02 bore effect things??? any ideas? |

You can look at it as a slight increase in displacement, but for the most part, it's normal maintenance as far as overbores go since it's a small. -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl...
