Hi new user to the site here any help or thoughts would be great.

I have a 1998 SS111 with the beams engine problem is once I hit about 190kmph there is a massive loss of power and preformance stops.

Now I understand there to be a speed limiter on the car to stop the boys out running the cops in japan but I live in Ireland and have a 20km strip of motorway that I have only once ever seen a cop on in 4 years.

So here lies the problem........ How do I get rid of this stupid device?????????

Cheers in advance..

Noel

190kmph (115mph)... just to clarify for everyone else..

I don't know about the beams, but with the USDM engines that sounds just about normal. The only thing I can think of is to get an aftermarket ECU... but good luck finding one.
