where can i get a short shifter for this car, because ive been trying to search so far, but everythings for those damn 2000+ celicas

I totally agree with you on that. How bout just get some new shifter bushings though. Well that would be a good idea for those that don't want to go out and buy a new trd assembly. Get some new bushings and a short stick and your set.

This is my fault. i did not explain everything...

With my short shifter i also got aluminum shifter base bushings that replace the rubber bushings between the shift assembly and the car as well as brass shift cable bushings where the cables mount to the tranny. This along with the ebay shifter was a decent upgrade, but the shifter itself still feels loose.

I figure this to be from age.. especially where the ball part of the shifter is, over time i bet the plastic on the shifter there got worn down etc.

(busings were bought at speedsource)
