QUOTE Nah, it's a lot easier just to mask off everything. I tried taking the calipers off, it was a pain in the ass!!! But yeah, just mask off anything you don't want paint to be on and you'll be fine. It's really easy Taking off the caliper is easy. There are two bolts that need to be removed, and the caliper slides off (minus the line connected to it) What I've done in the past on other vehicles is drop the caliper down off the rotor and hang it with some wire off of the strut, then paint. You'll need to mask off a little bit for overspray, but it is a lot easier than getting into the wheel well and spraying while it is still attached to the car. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

Yeah dude, I know it's easy...but you gotta do all 4 of em, paint them, let it dry and then put them back. Much more time consuming. It was just so much easier for me to mask it and paint it. But on another note, I would have to say taking it off and painting it is the better and cleaner way to do it. So if you want a really good job, definitely take it off and paint it. -------------------- |
