My girlfriend is 19, and working full-time to pay for her car. To get this car, she had to use her dad's credit and he cosigned. If she moves out, they will take her car, yet she has been the one making payments on her car, even working so much that she is getting very few college hours in.

How can my girlfriend move out and KEEP her car? I am not too clear but I think she has been giving her dad her paychecks and he has made the payments using her paychecks or something like that. So to the bank, it looks like he is the one paying.

If she moves out, they keep the car, yet her mom just demanded that she moves out or START PAYING RENT. Yeah, thats what I thought. Her parents are telling her that if she moves out, they will keep her car, and if she stays there, she has to start paying rent, ALONG with paying for her car, for THEIR groceries, and doing all the work around the house..

HELP PLEASE!

she should try to get a loan through the school she's attending, or through financial aid, or through a bank. what is the amount of her monthly car payment? she can use her paycheck stubs asa reference as to how much she makes each month. it also depends on how long she has worked for her current employer and any other credit issues (no credit, some credit, some bad credit)

i dont understand parents sometimes..they just get lame. i moved out and have zero support from my dad and i'm in mad debt. if i had the choice, i would move back home rent free and pocket 700+ a month but that would mean i gotta see my dad everyday :\
