I'm trying to decide between some wheels that are 17x7.5 with a 45 offset, or some 17x8 with a 46 offset. for tires, probably 225/45/17 but I'm kinda curious if 235/40/17 tires would fit.

my question is, what size wheels, tires, and offsets are you guys running and do you have any issues with rubbing? and would you say you have a lot of clearance or very little in terms of being able to fit something bigger? also mention if you're lowered or not.

17x8 with a 35 offset, lowered considerably and I only SLIGHTLY rub the inside plastic of the fender. But that's also probably due to it not being completely secured. That wheel size/offset gives our cars an AWESOME stance.

235/40/17 are the tires

so, if I did 235/40/17 tires on a 17x8 with a 46 offset I'd probably rub unless I got a 10 or 15mm spacer to make the offset 36-31? the wheel offset guide says that we need a 40mm offset for 8.0" wide rim on a lowered car. you don't have any issues with the rims sticking out too far and hitting the outter side of the fender, do you?
