Well, like the title says, how would you guys rate the difficulty of replacing the axles on a 94 st? I just bought this car for my girl a while ago and I've been workin on it bit by bit to get it into a nice safe operating condition for her. I was thinkin about doin this myself cuz I don't wanna get raped by a shop, but I've never done it before. I'm reasonably good with mechanics its just that I don't have alot of time(or a place for that matter) to get it done, unless its a quick easy fix, I'll probably have to bite the bullet. Haynes manual makes it seem easy enuff, but I wanna know for sure before I start rippin stuff apart. (Btw replacing em cuz cv joints are shot, horrible, disgusting clicking in turns)
Also as a side note, I've been reading that places like autozone and the like sells axles that are too short. Any recommendations as to the best place to get 'em? (Besides the Dealer) |
