Hello im a new member to this forum even though i browsed this forum alot, Ive had my 6th gen celica for about 4 years and its done me good..only thing is ... its a 97 Automatic St Liftback LE with over 200k and i was wondering what i should do... I was thinking of either,
1: Selling the Celi and get me a 95 acura legend coupe type II 6 speed 210-230hp or 2: Buy me a 3S-GE (Beams) Motor Complete and Swap it out on my Celica making it a whoppin 197 bhp Kinda Confused on this... other questions i have is...since i never swapped out or even attempt to touch the motor cause of NC emissions 1: Will swapping the engine leave my check engine light... meaning will i be missing a sensor or two going from a 7A-FE to a 3S-GE? 2: Will the motor be a drop in or will i need to get custom mounts and do some welding fabricating? 3: Will I need Different Mounts switching from auto to manual? sorry for all the noob questions...opinions please |

dont you dare go to the other side...honda lover
![]() but the best way to do it is get a scale and some marbles and weigh some pros and cons in my biased opinion, do the swap! if youre in north carolina (like me) you can find some goon in the boonocks to look at your car, tell you to turn the headlights on, blinkers tails and wipers and send you on your way! ![]() -------------------- |
