ok, since ive been surfing this Forum ive been looking at everyones pictures and mods theyve done the their Celi. and i have to know how you guys do it. im not talking about how machanically,i mean funding and time. I mean i have somethings that keep me from being about to spend a lot of money to mod my car, my daughter and my wife eat my money up pretty well, bills and what have you but i know im not the only one here that has responsibilities like these. If you saw my Celi you would cry, im just now able to afford a EGR valve and a new Brights head light assembly that im hopping will allow it to pass inspection. and dont get me wrong, i love my car and would work on it ........most of the day if i could, but some of the things you guys have done are crazy.
im not looking for advice, and im not bashing you all either, hell more power to yah Im just wondering how you all did it, and how much time it took for you to get to where your at now. |

some people don't have as many responsabilities as you do, but some others do, it's insane to dump a whole paycheck in a car even if you don't need the money for anything else, most people here have built their cars over the years, is not a 2 months process, you just need to know what you wanna do to the car and what parts you need to acomplish that, then start buying stuff one thing at the time. Being patient is the key, cars is an expensive hobbie and is the wosrt wasted money ever, you don't get back the money you put on cars, but we sure have fun .

Its not like a house where if you add something new to it the value goes up or whatnot. Putting so much money into a car really isn't worth it at all as far as the literal value goes... But the transformation is fun, I'll give it that. That's why I sorta regret doing all the sh*t I did to my car... Dont get me wrong I love it to death, really I do its my baby, but it was an expensive mistake. The kit is a pain in the ass, I cant drive it to certain places, its more trouble then its worth etc... Just costs of mods and everything I've done to get it the way it looks now cost me nearly close to double the amount that I actually paid for the car... Which now that I think about it, is sickening... That money could have gone to something WAY more useful. But ya know, that was when I was younger and didn't really need to think about being strict with my money. That's why my next car (which I want NOW!!!! ... but wont be getting anytime soon ) is only gonna have a few small things done like stereo system or whatever... Just general stuff for my enjoyment not this crap I did to the Celica. This post has been edited by CelicaBuddy: Dec 5, 2007 - 5:40 PM -------------------- 2003 Nissan Murano SE |
