Well i blew something during the turbo install it looking as if I got a hole in a piston or a blown head gasket. So now my cousins goign to break it down so what shoule i do should i keep the turbo setup or what?

Sorry, its peeve, not peave,,, ![]() Seriously though, do you think you burned a hole in a piston or just cooked the rings? if you need pistons and are keeping the turbo, can you get lower compression ones, or have a machine shop see if they can relieve the stock pistons to lower the compression some? and btw, the pistons will not come out the bottom without removing the crank (if then, main bearing saddles usually prevent it) and that could be much more work than pulling the head, and you still have to install them from the top, no way to get the ring compressor to work from underneath. |
