Well here is the prob with my engine at the moment: sounds like there are crickets chirping in my engine. When I engage the clutch(while idling of course), the noise stops. When I rev up the engine, it doesn't get quieter, the engine just gets louder and the noise happens more rapidly. Likewise, when I turn off the engine they slow down until the engine's completely off. I just got toyota to replace the drive belts about 3 months ago so I know that's not it, unless there is something that I can put on the belts to quiet them. I haven't messed with the timing belt yet. When I get up to the engine, it sounds like it's coming more off the passenger side and sounds almost like it is coming from here: http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s245/da...d/DSCF02642.jpg
But then again it could be the noise bouncing off from something else, but that area is where the noise is more concentrated.
Any ideas?

Also, when I am stopped at a light or something, SOMETIMES, the throttle feels like it is stuck and I have to push hard to get "through the stiff/really hard part" and then it's back to normal. Happens sometimes but sometimes not. Any ideas on this issue as well?

Thanks everyone
