Car thoughts, Need opinions Options

I bought my Celi almost a year ago , i had really high hopes for modifying it and everything . I searched the internet for parts , no luck there !. I found 6GC and looked into the 5sfte project, 3sgte swap and V6 swap. they all cost a considerable amount of cash and require alot of time and experience , which i dont really have. I love the Celi's styling and handling. I love that it is not so common around here making it very unique. yet everytime i get behind the wheel i am a bit disappointed , we all know there is NO power in the car.

I am really thinking of selling it and buying another ( used ) car that already have around 200 HP, but there is nothing out there that matches the styling of the celica. I wish i can make it faster but i am way too inexperienced and it would cost around 4-5K , which in addition to the approx. sale price of the car add up to almost 10K , which is slightly less than the money needed for another already-fast car.

I need opinions of whether i should keep it and try to mod it or sell it and get something else , now we all like Celicas and i know everybody's opinion is baised but i am a college student who is about to transfer to university with very little time and no Beater car !!

also , what kind of car would u recommend ?? i was thinking of something like a :
-BMW E46 ( sells for about 12-14K )
-believe or not a procshe boxter 98-99 , about the same price but insanely high insurance and parts
-A V6 mustang ( i know it is a low quality car and the streets are flooded with them , but i always liked them)
-a 2000+ V6 eclipse
-

any suggestions on a car ?? any suggestion on more power ( that is cali legal ) ??

please help em out on this , i cant make my mind up

My friends 87 300zx.. Total piece of ****.. I did an FMIC on it and a 3" exhaust system and that car is such a PITA to work on.. there is no practical or semi-easy way to do an FMIC on it.. it has no IC to begin with.. I got so pissed off trying to route the pipes that I only charged him for the exhaust system and told him to get the ****ing thing out of my site. Yes he is still my friend and he understands my pain.. this is why he won't touch a wrench himself lol.

Oh yea.. so he ended up blowing the motor up on like 10PSI too.. and EVERYTHING is vacuum controlled.. all the vents in the car.. to EVERYTHING is ****ing vacuum line controlled .. so much useless **** under the hood, they tried to make it a night-rider esque car and it's just a total piece of F'n shiz!
