I need to replace my rear glass, I have one I can use thats in my wrecked celi in my garage but I have no idea how to take it out. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to how to do it or where to look for instructions on how to do it?

I called a few places and they want $450.00+ for a new one installed and $200.00+ to use the one I got in my other car with no guarantee they wont mess it up getting it out. thats redicilous! shop around you should be aboe to find a place that will do it cheaper...i know up here i can get it done for no more then 200 installed....450+200 to install is a little steep..i would try doin it myself if i were goin to pay that much but yea just look around you should be able to find a place that will do it cheaper sorry, let me clarify alittle, they told me either 450.00(min) for a new one OR 200.00(min) to use the one I got in my other celi. Both prices included removing my broken glass and installing the replacement. The chance I take by using the one from my other celi is that they are not responsible for any damage while removing it and they will not guarantee it. Apparently the trim is rather difficult to remove without bending or breaking and could cause leaking problems which is why they will not guarantee the install. And if they happen to break the glass I'm just SOL. This post has been edited by roelamizzle: Jan 15, 2008 - 9:13 PM -------------------- ![]() |
