when the engine is cold it doesn't squeal but as it warms up the noise gets louder.
our mechanic said it may be that my transmission has dirt in it but he also mentioned through out bearings... any ideas on what it is? -------------------- tell me everything

I don't know for sure because I'm in Oregon, not in Huntsville. But you said your squealing is around your tranny, and that there's red oily residue in your driveway. Deductive reasoning would suggest that your transmission is leaking and not getting the proper lubrication.
Check your power steering reservoir and see if it's low then. If it's not, then there ya go. If it is, then perhaps your power steering pump is going out, and the squealing is the ps belt, although it would mostly squeal when it's cold. -------------------- ![]() |
