Before I posted in the Buy/Sell forum I wanted to get an opinion on what a good price would be to sell my newly 3sgte swapped, manual, black 96 celica st. Has typical scratches and small dings from driving wear and tear and the inside needs a little bit of a make over but everything else is in great working condition. The body has 150,000 miles on it and the new engine has about 20,000. Also, should I do the cosmetic work before I sell it or just leave that up to the new owner and ask for less money? I'd appreciate any insight.

QUOTE If you take a $4000 car, put $12000 worth of mods into it, your car is worth how much? Answer: $4000 So if someone bought an mr2, put about 12,000$ into the motor, and its putting out a nice 500hp, you would still only offer them 4k? I fail to see that logic. Cars are worth whatever people are willing to pay, or whatever you are willing to let them go for. Cheap body kits and air intakes do nothing to the value of the car, but if you have a car thats making 2x the power the a stock one, looks better then stock, and is in excellent condition, then its worth a little extra. Having said that... most of the ghetto rigged swaps have sold for about 4-7grand on average, depending on whats wrong with them (some were sold with blown motors). The nicer ones that were in excellent condition (inside and out) have sold for around 10-14k in the past.
