My celica just died last week and no spark. I was wondering has anyone rebuilt their distributor before. I have a 5sfe.
Just recent change the rotor and cap to distubutor last week before this happen. All sudden the car died, so i check for any spark coming from wire. None, I think it was the distubutor but i haven;t had time to replace it. This post has been edited by st202gt: Feb 22, 2008 - 1:41 PM |

Take your distributer to autozone. They'll do the work and take out the coil for you. Have them test it.
I did this yesterday and my coil came out good but no spark. Went to the pick and pull and got 2 different ignitors just in case and that wasn;t it. Guess what it was? Thats right the distributer shaft. But I say take it out and have them check your coil. If its up to par and still no spark check the ignitor by going to the pick and pull and grab one from a corolla or paseo. If thats not it, spend the big bucks and get a brand spankin new distributor like myself ![]() -------------------- 98 Celica gt red- totaled deer
