search the forums, this has been covered many many many times
NGK & do your wires, cap rotor and air filter too. Follow the wires going to the top of your engine, the rubber things come out (those are your spark plug wires), beneath those are your plugs. You'll need a special socket to get them out. The plastic thing on the other end of the wires is the distributor cap. When removed (3 screws) there's a little T shaped thingie you'll see, that's the rotor. Replace these. Most importantly, note EXACTLY which wire came off of which spot on each end, they MUST be put back in the same order or your car will misfire and run like crap. Go purchase a Haynes or Chilton manual for your car. Or, seriously no joke, get a book called Idiot's Guide to Car Maintenance. I bought it when I got my first car a million years ago. It's a great layman's introduction to car maintenance. You can even buy mine off me for a nominal fee. This post has been edited by GriffGirl: Feb 25, 2008 - 8:44 PM -------------------- |
