You guys can always come to me when you want the latest movie gossip and rumormills. Here's the most solid leads so far.
~~~~~~ from another forum: And you, the unwilling readers of this post, are along for the ride courtesy of my horrific Razr V3 VGA-resolution pocket-lint-infested camera (I refuse to buy a new phone until some lawfirm out there somewhere gives me damn Blackberry ). Those of you that live in LA likely know about the flourescent movie filming signs. For those that don't, or those out of the area, when there's some sort of movie shoot in the area, the crew will hang brightly colored signs with code-words on them, along with arrows. By following the arrows, you'll get to the movie shoot site. So, my girlfriend and I are driving in Echo Park/Angeleno Heights area (just northeast of downtown LA) when we spot this sign: Knowing that F&F 1 was filmed just blocks away, we follow the sign, which leads to the intersection where "Toretto's" store is located (yes, the one where "no one comes for the tuna!"): Fast and Furious 4 filming in full swing from another forum: And you, the unwilling readers of this post, are along for the ride courtesy of my horrific Razr V3 VGA-resolution pocket-lint-infested camera (I refuse to buy a new phone until some lawfirm out there somewhere gives me damn Blackberry ). Without missing a beat, my girlfriend rolled down the window and told the guard that we're crew and need to get to the shoot. We were promptly directed a block away, to what turned out to be Toretto's house. The crew was busy putting up a large garage in the back yard: and the boxes in this Universal Pictures truck said "Toretto's Kitchen" on the green tape on the boxes. I was tempted to steal Toretto's silverware (and thus eat all of my meals "a quarter mile at a time"), but that would be an act of moral turpitude, so I abstained. I'm going to be going back there this weekend when the shoot is in full swing to hopefully capture the cars for Version 4.0. I suggest you subscribe for updates, however horrific they may be ~~~~~ AND ALL MY INFO: My summary and timeline first of all: The Fast and the Furious We all know how FF1 ends, Brian lets Dom go after the Charger is destroyed, Brian runs from the law after giving Dom the keys to the Supra. At the end of FF1 we see Dom in Baja, Mexico, talking about his quarter mile lifestyle and cruising the desert in an awesome red 70 Chevelle SS. 2Fast 2Furious We first see Brian running around in a souped up 3000GT, winning race after race, and eventually finding his R34 Skyline in a beatup car lot. After fixing it up and winning more races, he makes his way to Miami while running from the law still. He is eventually aprehended and teams up with his homeboy Rome (brah), and the two take down a drug runner with the help of US Customs. His record is clean and he is free to go. This is the last we see of Brian. FAST FORWARD 6 YEARS Tokyo Drift All new characters, all new scene, all new style. We've seen it, white boy gets his drift on with the azns, becomes the new DK, saves the day and the chick. The main character befriends Han, a Japanese feller who previously talked about his days in Mexico. He unfortunately dies a fiery death. At the end, our whiteboi ends up drifting against, none other than Dominic Toretto of FF1 fame. The race pits the S15 Silvia versus Dom's Plymouth Roadrunner. Sean comments on Dom's ride, and Dom replies saying he won it from his buddy Han when they rolled together in Mexico. It ain't no 10 second race, but Dom's got all the time in the world. The two launch, and the credits roll. REWIND 1 YEAR The Fast and the Furious 4 Here's a RUMORED plot line. FF4 takes place five years after the events of FF1. Dom is hiding out in the Dominican Republic after having been let go by Brian at the end of FF1. It’s here that he meets Han. Meanwhile, Brian is in prison in Arizona. But wait, there’s a twist — Brian is undercover for the feds, and after completing his assignment, he’s back out on the streets. So what’s happened to Letty, Dom’s girlfriend? She’s been trying to keep the crew from going under in his absence. This includes running drugs via their soup up cars for notorious South American drug dealer Antonio Braga, a man no one has ever seen. After one of her runs for Braga, Letty is killed, presumably by Braga enforcer Fenix. Dom is told about Letty’s death from Mia (his sister) via a phone call. He returns to America to attend her funeral. Brian is also there, and fills him in. Brian tells Dom he’s going after Braga. That makes two of them. ~~~~ This story for FF4 makes sense considering the following spy shots: Looks like a Federal Agent. Here's Dom: Info from that site: Early in the upcoming “Fast and the Furious 4″, a fugitive Vin Diesel comes out of hiding to secretly attend the funeral of his girlfriend at a cemetery (read here for details on the set-up of FF4); he meets Paul Walker’s character, and the two hatch a plan for revenge. That seems to be the scene currently being shot in these pictures from the set of FF4. The pics are from JFX Online, and for you car junkies out there, check it out, they also have a video that shows off all the cars that will be in the movie and at the cemetery scene. I especially like the idea of a purple car at a funeral. Priceless. Here's a link to the vid they are referring to: http://www.jfxonline.com/jfxonline/2008/02/27/vin/ There you go my friends, my very own post to you with all the information I can come up with and my very own timeline. Enjoy. I also forgot to mention that if the rumors are true (and it seems they are) and FF4 is a prequel to Tokyo Drift, then in all likelihood we might see Han return, which is good, because he had a lot of fans. -------------------- |
