I'm considering buying one of these in a few weeks, and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this header.

Would you recommend it? What kind of gains/improvements did you notice? How does this affect gas mileage? Would I have any problems passing inspection? As far as protection, would you recommend wrapping or painting with high temp paint (I'd like to make it black to match the rest of my engine bay, if possible)? Input and pics would be appreciated.

Man, you need to use the search function. There are a few posts out there, including mine, discussing this particular header!

I've had mine on for one week, and I really like it. The product may have improved, b/c I had no issues with fitment or the wrong bolts. The only thing I modified was the gasket that goes between the header and flexpipe...had to make the hole a little wider to make sure it fit snug around the end of the flexpipe. I also was not able to get the second O2 sensor out of the stock manifold, so I bought a new one from Toyota World to use with the header.

I have no "overheating" issues. My hood has the insulation under it and I can put my hand on the hood most times. It is not "farty" or too loud. No CEL yet either.
