So I got my celica running again with a Koyo Radiator. This sucker is a little bigger (Thicker) than my stock radiator and some modification was need on the fan mount (driver side) to work around the engine mount. But this things looks BEAUTIFUL! I love it. Stays cool longer too. Had the car running until normal temp and wasn't even hot. I know this isn't really news but just wanted to share my happiness. WOOO!
Oh yeah, also, what is missing? I noticed two little tabs that stick out across from the radiator cap that looks like something screws into. My last radiator didn't have it either and by looking at that sweet ass SS-Four that dude was making, I seen in a photo under the hood that there is a little black box. So what is it that is missing? I wonder if it is important or not. This post has been edited by Random_Stranger: Mar 4, 2008 - 6:58 AM -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204

QUOTE(DEATH @ Mar 4, 2008 - 10:57 PM) Enjoy it. I hope you filled it back up with Toyota For Life Coolant and didn't cheap out. BTW - Have you noticed how long it takes the heater to work now? oh well got to pay [or freeze in this case] to play as they say. Well see, when I started noticing there was a problem (maybe my heating coils?), but I would turn on the heater and there would be no heat. Now months before, I took it in because it was missing a thermostat and there was a gash in the upper radiator hose. Those got replaced, and then my clutch went out. I replaced my clutch and was driving it around. Then I pulled up in a drive thru, smoke was coming out under the hood. The car wasn't overheating, yet I could smell radiator fluid. I turned on the heater, and no real heat. It was a little warm, but not enough to call it heat. This was even after the clutch was repaired that I had this problem. I want to do something about it, but I figure why bother now? I live in California, it is always warm here. And I would never cheap out on things for my car. Not since I have been more active on this site. My dad was like "Just repair your crack on your radiator" and I was like "Foo, and have it leave me in Los Angeles in March? Nah, I would rather not take chances". This post has been edited by Random_Stranger: Mar 4, 2008 - 6:05 PM -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204
